This was my 37signaps business book and I think I got off pretty easy. The overall argument is that we should redo how we do work hence, “rework” ; Fried et al make an argument for leaner, more flexible organizations, with few of the obvious structures of the average US company meetings, strategic plans, etc.

Aaron on 21 Aug Pick up a few copies and hang them on your cubical wall? Be open about your processes, flaws and opinions. Some of the sayings are; “good enough is fine”, “long lists don’t get done,” and “say no by default. Damage control — tell your customers when there’s a problem.


Striking design, looks fantastic. Otherwise, you create an opportunity for rumors, hearsay, and false information to spread.

Also, who has written the book? You don’t need to staff up.

Jason, I think that you already is, but after this book. It’s what rewofk say to your friends over lunch. The tone is that of a manifesto, and evidence is basically anecdotal.
