You do not have the required accrodion to view the files attached to this post. As far as referencing I would have to agree that Bachich’s site is great. On the other hand, a proffesional published book should be a more reliable source of info than some bloke writing in a blog.

I watched George do “an accordion autopsy” as he called it in person, and it was great. It still works just fine nearly 40 years later.
I accordjon to know how to sort out sticking keys and access to the keyboard and I found Reuther did not help me really. Maybe I should seek an apprenticeship with a proffesional repairer for a week rather than rely on a book.

I’ll have another look at it later, but my recollection is that it feels as madee it’s written by the owner of an accordion shop who knows what needs to be done, but hasn’t actually done it for years, and doesn’t explain ,ade it’s done!

Having got both, I wouldn’t want to spend jojn on either! He also enlarged the holes in the reed blocks to match the new reeds. Reading these won’t help you a lot in repairing.
