Describing every move is a great idea in principle, but it does get a little wearisome having to read chernnev 1. I found it in least a half a dozen other books, annotated by everyone including Kasparov.
This is a very good book for anyone rated under about ELO — it will cover at least something they do not know. On the downside, I didn’t learn much about tactics or the endgame from this book, which I am learning are probably the most cgernev things to learn for someone new to chess.
This position arose in my fourth round game in this weekend’s Eastern Washington Open. The book occasionally sacrifices accuracy for brevity, partly as the author did not have access to a computer. I feel the analysis of whole games really gives a feeling for the development of the game, and that lobical move by move format is great window into the specifics. As you follow each game, you will start to see where potential attacks come from, and you will find yourself looking for winning combinations in your own games.

Does Nunn have valid points? Want to Read Currently Reading Read. Previously I was not a big fan of chess books, and preferred using software or videos. In general, though, the principles governing sound chess play do make chernnev guideposts, especially in the opening, the middlegame, and the ending! Refresh and try again.
